jillybean Posted July 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 I could have chosen the 2♣ route here (game forcing, clubs or balanced) but thought the heart splinter was more descriptive, unlesspartner has a huge hand we are not going anywhere.3♦ for us is Bergen, 3♥ would set hearts as trump and would be the start a cue bid sequence. Phil Posted July 29, 2013 Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 Its really hard for partner to move over 4♥ when its right to especially missing a lot of club cards. This is the kind of hand where partner's club cards (er, even though 2♣ isn't specifically CLUBS) can make all the difference, so I think we'd bid 1♠ - 2♣ - 2♥ - 3♠ - 3N (NS) - 4♠ - P.
