eagles123
Matchpoints. Should East double? [hv=pc=n&e=skqjhj9874dktct43&d=n&v=e&b=9&a=1dp1hp2hp4hpp]133|200[/hv] Thanks, Eagles
the hog
No. This is not close.
Zelandakh
You were closer to a double over 1♦ than you are over 4♥.
Codo
At mps I would. They will suffer a 5-0 break, they made no slam try, I have the big King of diamonds.
helene_t
come on, you have three likely tricks in addition to your five trumps. And it's MP.
eagles123
seem to have divided opinion with this one! at the table I didn't double but afterwards thought I probably should have done. It's the kind of hand where you don't expect 4♥ to make but don't quite have the guts to double!! Maybe that's what seperates regular club players and better players. the hog
come on, you have three likely tricks in addition to your five trumps. And it's MP. Come on, why tip the opp off to the heart break and allow him to choose a line that makes? Where are my 3 likely tricks by the way? I am not on lead anyway and so cannot start of with a S for these three unicorn like tricks.
Winstonm
No way do I double. No one has shown weakness, just not extra strength. This is the sort of hand where they cash their 3 aces and then peel off 7 more cross-ruff tricks.
nigel_k
I would be more concerned about how we will beat 4NT.
