How do you suggest to bid this one? East is dealer, so the bidding will normally start 1♥-2♣
gnasher
It's also difficult when each hand has moderate extra values, as in this case. My auction playing 2/1 would be: 1♥-2♣2♥-3♦3♠-3NT (3♠=FSF)pass
JLOGIC
1H 2C2H 3C3D 3N4C 4D4S 6C is possible. Equally possible is 1H 2C 2H 2N 3N P heh.
bigbenvic
I can see it going this way - 1♥ 2♣2NT* 3♦ *hearts not good enough to rebid 3 *Edit: I play 2♥ as a weaker overall hand than this3♥* 4♣ *Both bids showing 6 card suits4♠* 4nt+ *cue for ♣, 4♦ would agree ♦, 4♥ would imply desire to stop now! +RKCB5♥* 6c *2 without You are kind of hoping that partner isn't Axxxxx in hearts and without the trump ace but I don't have a trump ask after 4♠ Though after 4♠ I would probably sign off in 5♣ and hope partner decides he has a hand suited to slam. My auction should show a 6-4 with no interest in ♥ and better than just bidding 5♣ over 3nt, so I must have mild slam aspirations! Also he could deduce my heart void as I ran from 3nt to 5 of a minor! His holding looks better but I really don't know if I have enough to bid 6 opposite his hand, I think so but am I result orienteering?? JLOGIC
It's also difficult when each hand has moderate extra values, as in this case. My auction playing 2/1 would be: 1♥-2♣2♥-3♦3♠-3NT (3♠=FSF)pass 3D would not be my choice but assuming it shows at least 4-6 then after 3S 3N I think east has an easy move, partner is known to hold short hearts and 4-6 in the minors, that is already goodenough for me. On top of that he appears to have a spade stopper and chose to bid 3D rather than 2N so there is some inference he has a very suit oriented hand (heart void), or slam interest/very good minors.

Rainer HerrmannWe have an easy distinction playing our bent version of Acol: your hand is 1♥-2♣-2♥, the original is a GF opposite a minimum 2/1 for us, the extra point makes a big difference, make Q♥ the K in your hand and it's a tougher distinction. ggwhiz
Due to the (lack of) quality in the heart suit and pointed suit cards, I have occasionally had an auction starting like this 1♥ - 2♣ game force2nt - 3♣3♥ - ? 2nt shows some life in the club suit if you cooperate with whatever pards next move is and if your partnership has the means to bail out in 4nt (we do in theory but it's an easy forget) then you sometimes have enough room to plutz into slam. Bidding in this order just can't show good hearts plus stoppers unless it's in a huge hand. With the actual hand you would have to make the diamonds AJxx opposite KQx or AQJx opposite Kxx to have any chance imo. I can't get there on this one. ahydra
() - 1H2C - 3H (tiny upgrade since we have a GF opposite a 10+ 2/1) How much does W need for club slam? CAK, SAQ and partner will definitely have more, so I think he ought to try. But 4C in our system is cue for hearts so we will have to bid 3S. But to be honest East has already shown his hand and his hand doesn't look good for a club slam, he's only got Ax, no easy ruffing power and his hearts won't provide a source of tricks unless partner has both the AK, in which case we would be playing hearts. I think we will end in 5C, perhaps after 3S - 3NT4C - 4D (cues)4S - 5C (4S = cue) ahydra
