RunemPard
Played this hand yesterday. I do not remember the exact layout of the hand for the opponents, but I believe it is correct, or very close. The play is MPs at a local social club. My friend who we were playing against enjoyed the ending almost as much as I did! :) http://tinyurl.com/ce7znwl Thought I would share this one as I thought it was interesting. I have recently been losing a lot of my enthusiasm towards bridge, and this hand reminded me why I enjoy the game so much.
Lord Molyb
Only 11 tricks are taken if west discards the ace of diamonds and east keeps his jack at trick 10, but that is pretty much double dummy :PAlso wouldn't taking the ace immediately work? Antrax
At trick 9, hopping ♦A and playing a ♦ seems enough to keep you to 11.
JLOGIC
Only 11 tricks are taken if west discards the ace of diamonds and east keeps his jack at trick 10, but that is pretty much double dummy :P Not really double dummy, east should play the jack on the second diamond (having played the 9 first that marks him with the ten) and then keep the ten. Still, these are the kinds of errors that are common that you must capitalize on to do well at bridge/MP. Well played.
