Partner showed a balancedish game-force then suggested 3NT. LHO leads ♥Q and RHO encourages. Plan the play.
aguahombre
4S looks better than 3NT. How about a plan to lose 3 spades and no diamond or 2S and 1 or no diamond. A, A, 2 to Ace, 2.
Fluffy
Tapping line ends up requiring many things including ♠K onside, just playing trumps as aguahombre suggests looks better.

aguahombre
LHO wins and plays a club.Diamond hook when we have to take the club king. If it loses, then we can take a tap and hope for spades 3-3. Or maybe LHO won with his dub King of spades. Go down if Spades 3-3 and LHO ducks with QXXX of Diamonds offside ---unless RHO's third spade was the King and LHO still has a Club. wanoff
LHO wins and plays a club. That's not a problem but RHO returning a diamond might be.

A, A, 2 to Ace, 2. while this is supposed to be bridge not acey deucey it appears to be the rightthing to do here just hope for some luck and dont blame the 4s bidder I amunsure I like that 2s semi balanced bid with a singleton spade even if its the A.As with most misfits and no suit quality game is tough to make and 4s is aboutas good as anything. gnasher
LHO wins and plays a club. That's not a problem but RHO returning a diamond might be. It depends on which ace you used to get to hand. If you crossed in clubs, a club through dummy's king would be unwelcome. If you crossed in diamonds, a diamond through declarer's king would be unwelcome. LHO was either Ulf Tundal or Glenn Grotheim (I can't remember which). If it went club to hand, trump to LHO, club through dummy, diamond finesse, he'd probably remember to duck it with Qxxx, though of course nobody does the right thing all the time. aguahombre
if the ace to hand is a diamond, defender doesn't have to think.

Oo If he found this duck in tempo and you hooked again he would probably be in contention for defense of the year.
