nige1
What's the best rule about disclosing the meaning of partner's double? Admitedly this isn't the subject of the original post but it is the question posed in the topic title. Among suggestions:SBU: Don't alert doubles, whatever their meaning. Opponents can ask.ACBL: Alert doubles with unusual/unexpected meanings.EBU: Alert non-takeout doubles of natural bids. Alert non-penalty doubles of artificial bids. With further explanations and examples.Alert non-penalty doubles. Alert non-takeout doubles.Announce penalty and take-out doubles. Alert the rest. If nobody wants to add another suggestion then please would Blackshoe include a public poll?

Discussion should continue in the poll topic.
