Rain
Here are some 2004 stats Registration: From 2004-01-01 to 2004-12-31, there were a total of 875 new registrants. (Note that this can include existing users who just want another posting ID) Most new registrants in Jan (110) and March (100), and fewest in July (40) and December (44). From Feb '03 till now, we have 2201 members. Most registered in Feb '03 (214) and March '03 (175). -----------------Posting: For 2004, there were a total of 36620 posts. (I don't know if this includes the deleted posts. Negligible anyway) Nov (4258 )was the month with the highest number of posts, followed by July (4219), Aug (3854) and Oct (3849). Speculation that Dec (2752) was a dry posting month was relatively unfounded. Dec was middling, 5th lowest number of posts. Ben's absence played a large part in it :) Jan (1783) and Feb (2066) were low post months. I would hibernate these 2 months if I could too. Alas... From Feb '03 till now, we have a total of 47467 posts. 2004 was a very good month for our forum indeed. We had more than double 2003's number of posts. One thing to remember is that forum started in Feb 03. -----------------Postees: As for total number of posts by each user, I think we all have an idea of who's tops. :) One amazing thing about Ben is he has logical, coherant posts in most area! And personal experience: When I vaguely recall a certain post and ask him about it, he is often able to locate the exact post I was talking about. Ben has 5048 posts in 687 days so far. That's an amazing 7.3 posts a day! The user rank was set so you get a new "rank", or descriptive message when you post more, and hit a certain target number. Currently, the threshold numbers are: 01050100250500100025005000 Can increase/decrease it if you want. The rank descriptions can change too. Depends on prevailing mood. :> I think 2004 was a pretty good year for BBO. Maybe real life wasn't that great, lots of unhappy calaminities happened, but that's what BBO is for right? A nice refuge for a short while, a recharger for a mind battered by everyday concerns. Here's to a better 2005. Rain :)
Gerardo
two points:Feb 03 was date of conversion from old forum software, so it gets accounted all new members till that dateYou didn't list the "Ben" category in number of posts :)
Rain
Ben category = 50% of each month :) :(
inquiry
Ben category = 50% of each month :) :) A slight exaggeration as it is... At one time, I had 25% of all post... that was a long time ago. Currently I am at about 10% and it drops more and more each day. Soon (hopefully), I will be in single digits. It is true that the last 14 days I have averaged only around 1 post a day, if that. I am back from travelling, so watch out. I will be posting again. I need to return to the squeeze thread.. only have scartched the surface of two loser squeezes so far. Ben
