Antrax
Grandma bidding: 2♣2-♦ (waiting)6NT (30-31 balanced)Of course, when I was taught this, nobody mentioned whether 7♣ is now Stayman or not.
Vampyr
♠AK94♥AK6♦AKQ♣AK10 3 passes to you 2♣-2♦ (0-8) 2NT-3NT?? I don't understand the auction to date -- is 2NT forcing or something?
gnasher
I assume 2NT was forcing. Now I bid 4♠, which is obviously forcing to 4NT and showing my lowest 4-card suit. If partner signs off in 4NT, I'll give up.
Cyberyeti
I don't understand what 2N is either, you cannot play the 0-8 neg with an unlimited 2N rebid and expect to get these hands right. 2♣-2♦-4N (30-31) would be rather unlucky not to make (we play a form of Kokish so get plenty of ranges), but I might consider showing 28-29 balanced with 2♥ then 3N to give partner a chance to show a really unbalanced hand on the way or enquire over this with the same methods we use over 2N. Fluffy
2NT forcing, you have a much easier work if partner shows 5 hearts or 4 spades at the 3 level. 2NT its 24+ for us, but you can take it as 25+ if it fits your ranges better. marcD
Partner denied 4♠ (I assume SEF or something similar) and while 6NT could have no play facing a yarborough, i cannot imagine stopping below 6NT and i do not have tools to investigate a possibly superior minor suit slam . So at the table i would probably try 5NT asking partner to choose bewteen 6 and 7.
gnasher
Even though partner didn't bid Stayman, I still think we should investigate a spade contract. Qxxx Jxx Jxx Jxx is a raise to 3NT, but 6S is much better than 6NT.
Zelandakh
If you were playing Benji then you could go with: 2♣ - 2♦;4NT = 30-31 balanced Or better yet, 1♣ - 1♦; 3NT = 29-30 balanced1♣ - 1♦; 1♥ - 1♠; 3NT = 31-32 balanced
ggwhiz
I have no system here and apparently I'm not alone. Forgewt 2♣, I'm opening 6nt. Speedball
