cloa513
I had on one occasion the bid display go to opening bid when partner GIB had already opened 1♥ so it should been response to 1♥. Obviously then I was wondering which is right in GIB logic the display or what should be showing. Fortunately it was easy then as I could force all the way to 7♥. barmar
The program displaying the meaning of bids is separate from the program that's actually doing the bidding. When you hover over a bid, we actually fire up a new GIB process, feed it the auction up to that point, and get the meaning of the bid being hovered on. If there's a glitch in the program being used to display meanings, it shouldn't affect the robot that's playing. I'm a little unsure what you're saying happened. Robot opened 1♥, you hovered over 1♠ and it said this showed an opening hand? I'm moving this thread to the BBO Support Forum, since it seems to be an issue with the application, not robot bidding or play.
