kfay
[hv=pc=n&s=st9h963dkqtcak982&n=s8hak5da653cqj765&d=s&v=n&b=15&a=1c2c2h3spp4sdpp5cppp]266|200[/hv] This is how the auction actually went at the table. If you can't live with it (not my preference either) then how would you reach this slam after: 1♣-(2♣)-3♠-(4♠) Not sure it's possible in the 2nd case. Was I just wimpy in the actual hand? (I was South)
Cyberyeti
It's not a tremendous slam unless I'm missing something although it is decent (I hate paying off to W♦Jx) presuming 2♣ is both majors. What is your agreement about 2♥ and the difference between that and 2♠/2N ? An initial 3♠ makes it easier as you appear to have at least 24 points of a 32 ish point pack so I would have bid 4♣ rather than pass over 3♠ if 2♥ is general club raise. lalldonn
Whatever auction you come up with, would it be different if partner was 1435?
TWO4BRIDGE
I like the 3S-splinter . But the 4S bid ( either auction ) has essentially eliminated any more science. You must guess either game or blast.
