Maybe they just have quite the fit in spades (11? 12?) and distribution but I don't want to risk it.2. It's a difficult decision especially taking the vulnerability into account. If we pass we plan to pass partner's expected negative double but we're not getting rich at these colours. If we bid NT is 1 the best level to describe our strength? dake50 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Share Posted February 24, 2013 As I play no bids intend to escape/improve our contract at this level, 5D would highlight D-stuff +black controls wanted to go slam;5C similar;5H highlights good trumps needed for slam;4NT shows both minors held and not misfit Hearts (keys ask surrenderred).I try 4NT with this understanding.5H when 4NT still key-ask.
