If you have two ways to invite (seems you do) then definitely south should show the weaker one by rebidding 2♠ after 2♦. Zelandakh Posted February 25, 2013 Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 I disagree. I think the South hand is worth about 8 while the North hand is about 14 in spades. I think it is perfectly ok for North to accept the "good" invitation but not ok at all for South to make it. I am not even sure that South is worth a "bad" invite. Of course, I like a style with lots of up- and downgrading. Presumably South has a different style. It is less important which style you play than that both partners are playing the same one.
