alexejv
Hi all, i am strongly missing the possibility to see everybody from my friends list, while filters are on. E.g. if i have some american or polish friends i have to check their lands (thousands of player) to see them on my list.I think this feathure would be easy to make, and it will be helpful for many non-american player
Lukasz K.
Yes... I would like to see all yellows when I have selected "only" polish players. A good idea :(

fred
Sorry I did not respond sooner, but I have responded to similar posts making similar requests in the past. The answer is still the same: This issue is more complex than you might realize. There are a lot of ways that the various filters could conceivably be combined using ands, ors, and nots. A user interface in which people could select all of these combinations would consist of a massive and complex dialog box that the vast majority of our members would never want to go near. As an alternative I chose to make a simple interface with limited functionality and to make up my own rules about how to combine filters. One of these rules was that the country and level filters were higher priority than the other filters. Was including this rule a poor decision? Maybe but... Having the same simple interface with new rules to combine filters would not help. No matter how you define the rules, there will be certain well-defined subsets of the people online that you would not be able to list. I can appreciate the request you are making, but this is not something we are going to get involved in right now. Sorry, but our development team (ie Uday and me) has too many other things to worry about right now that we consider to be higher priority than tinkering with the filters (especially when we already know that there is no perfect solution to the problem you raise). Perhaps one day we will have an "Advanced" button in the View menu, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that if I were you.
