jahol
I know that similar topics have been discussed hundred times here. Still, you would like to know other's opinion, when you are confronted with something special.... Non-vulnerable with opponents vulnerable, your hand is x---AQJxx---xxx---xxxx . The opponent on your right side starts the bidding with 4S (explained as "a general block",the opponents play together for the second time in their life). The bidding continues: YOU4S-----pass-----pass-----5Cpass---pass-----5S------passpass---??? What would you do?
ggwhiz
I would have bid 6♣ directly just to make them take the last guess but I don't win more than my share of these. If it's a long team match it can pay dividends by exploiting an in your face attitude.
gnasher
6♣. It might be making, 5♠ might be making, and they may bid on to 6♠.
aguahombre
6♣. It might be making, 5♠ might be making, and they may bid on to 6♠.Yes, but as the Whiz, we would do it on the previous round.
