For what it's worth I'd probably do the same thing.

I would try 3♠ to elicit a more accurate description of partner's hand. He could be 0=3=5=5 and have skipped the support double, if his cards in minors are great.

 

It appears that there are enough points for 6NT but one or more suits are not splitting well.

we might have enough for 6n but transportation problems can be horrendous

 

I would take the 3s route if p can scare up a 4h bid ill be a ton happier trying 6n

knowing i have some heart help

if p bids 3n ??? ill try 4n

if p bids 4c or 4d i think i will try to raise to 6 of the repeated minor this will solve most

of the transportation problems but could be overbidding with such ill fitting hands

Every slam made, even 7♣ since opps had 5332 vs 4333, I tried to tell them that recent studies discovered that they should had bid 3NT with those combined shapes, but they didn't listen.
