schulken
I have been a TA Director in ACBL for about a year. I have become aware of a bit of tension regarding the awarding of ACBL master points for on-line play, especially that involving robots. Therefore, I think it is important that BBO make a good faith effort follow ACBL laws and avoid unnecessary friction with their Board. I recently observed that on ACBL robot games the auction remains visible through the play of the hand. ACBL L41 allows players to request a review of the auction, but only until he or she has played a card. Players continue to have the ability to ask what the contract is throughout the play of the hand. It strikes me that the program should be modified so that the auction is visible until the live player has played a card. At that point, the screen should change so that only the contract may be seen. This issue may be relevant on pair games as well - since I have only played with robots, I don't know. Thoughts appreciated.
barmar
I've moved this to the Suggestions forum. I don't see what it has to do with directing BBO tournaments, since robot tournaments don't have directors. The BBO display is pretty much the same in all forms of play: main bridge club, human tournaments, robot tournaments, and team games.
