NV vs Vuln, IMPsYou hold, first seat Q98-7-KQJ986-AQ6 1D-(1NT)-p-(2D*)?1NT is natural, about 16-18, 2D is transfer. 1st questionWhat is the difference between 3D and Double ?a. I would just take 3D as 6-7 diamonds, with the corresponding playing strenght and that's it. In light of that, I would bid 3D. Nice hand for a good-bad 2NT, though. In these situations generically I play: Double = Values Bids = competitive a. What do you mean by a reverse when only one suit has been bid? 3♦ just shows enough distribution and diamonds to want to compete to the three-level. Typically a seven-card suit or a good six-card suit with some outside trick taking potential. 2nd questionWhat do you bid here according to your previous answer? 3♦ is ok.
