mikeh Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 I just sent han a pm telling him I can't play. I have the flu that's plaguing NA, and have been off work since last week. While I am coming out of it, I can't take the time to play on Saturday: I have way too much work that has to be done, since I have missed essentially a week of work. I have cases coming up to trial, as well as a trip to our Appellate court later this month. I want to express publicly my thanks to han for asking me to play. It was generous of him, and my canceling at the last moment is not something I am proud of doing. As I told him, this may be for the best in that I haven't played anything other than social bridge for 16 months, having lost interest in the game. For this week I hope that I'll be able to find another partner. I'd like to ask my regular partner first, because we have a tournament coming up and we could really use the practice.
