janeball
What is wrong with leading your partners suit? Don't we teach that? I had 3 tricks off the top with declarer in 5S doubled and he leads an unbid suit from three to the seven. It is down if he leads my suit. It happens frequently. I just had to vent. georgi
Double of 5♠ comes to show you/I want my suit lead or because you/I think contract is certainly down and getting bigger score? As bidded hearts are looking as at least 10 in NS hands, 7+ and 3, heart tricks are 1 or 0 to be taken. Both minors in North are four small. Bidding doesn't reveal hints except opener promised strong hands with not just AKQJ in hearts. Next time ♠K would be ♣K and with two singletons in diamonds and hearts in EW would be regular lead for -1. Probably lucky distribution in EW, but chance for second thought could be given before shooting partner.
pigpenz
yes I have fallen into this trap with GIB numerous timesSJ Simon ...."why you lose at bridge" ....trying to turn 50 into 100, or 100 into 200 then going -X30trying to gain 2 imps vs losing 10, not good imp odds
