mgoetze
Biased since I remember this hand, but... 3♥ (assuming that's a fit jump), followed by a cuebid. That should give partner a good idea of what we have, if he still can't cooperate we may have to give up.
mike777
another hard one. 4d will try 5c over 4s and 5h over 5d only because I know pard can have a pretty minimum hand. dont know what fit jumps promise as far as range and quality, it seems everyone has their own style for fit jumps. JLOGIC
I'm going to start with 3D and go from there

That should give partner a good idea of what we have, if he still can't cooperate we may have to give up.Why do you want to let partner know what you have? You already know what you have. All I am interested in finding out is how good partner's spades are. I can already count 5 heart winners, a club winner and two or three diamond ruffs in my hand. If partner has AKQ of spades, then I expect to make 13 tricks. Exclusion RKCB should work fine here. I am willing to play slam if partner has at least KQ of spades, and I will assume that is the case if a key card is missing.
PhilKing
5♦. Maybe 5♠ performs the same task and obscures our holdings better, but it has the downside of engaging partner.
MickyB
Partner held KJxxx xx AQTx xx, the board was flat in 6S-2, despite a 2S [spades+minor] opening in the other room. 5S makes.
mike777
Ya it seems very difficult to stop in 4s.
JLOGIC
Ya it seems very difficult to stop in 4s. I don't think so. If over 3D, partner bids 3S, then over 4C, partner bids 4D, then over 4H, partner bids 4S are we really missing a slam? It might not even be worth 4H in that auction lol. 5D just seems super premature imo, our hand isn't THAT good especially if we tell them not to lead diamonds and they find a club lead. edit: ok we are definitely worth 4H sorry that was a little overboard lol. Fluffy
I'm an insane exclusion bidder.
lesh
I would bid 2nt 4+cards support and Inv+. For me 3♦ would be inv+ with 3cards. If partner bids game I would continue with 5di or might just bid 6♠. Over 3sp I would bid 4♣ and if he bids 4♦ I would go with 4♥ - if he signs off in 4♠ I would pass.
