Trinidad
4♠ should have play. 6♠ should not. Seems like an easy 4♠ bid. Rik
rduran1216
actually i think 6S will have play often, and since its here on the forums its guarenteed to have play 109xxxxxKxxAxx- 109xxxxx-xxxxAx all kinds of permutations do. But bidding anything other than 4S is absurd
gszes
[hv=pc=n&s=sakqjhqj85d3ck752&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=3s(wide%20ranging)p]133|200[/hv]Maybe erratic is a better description that wide ranging for the played in question. The more wide ranging (erratic) a bid is the less likely p will ever know what to do. This hand is a perfect example where anything you decide to do is a complete guess and any further competitivebidding that occurs will leave you with a complete guess. MP 4S who knows what will happen but the opps will be guessing as much as you are and thereis little sense in assuring your side a poor result. IMPS 5S opps can make anywhere btn 3 and 7 and i have not a clue where. It seems thattaking out some insurance with a further blocking bid is best overall. 4S is possilee but we willbe opening a can of worms if the opps compete further possibly making it easier for them to bid slam. pigpenz
4♠ expecting way too much from partner for six
Lord Molyb
But guys! Partner could have two outside aces! It's not anything you can simply ignore! :D not that I expect him to. 4♠ for me as well.
Fluffy
This is more like a story tale than really a problem, don't expect any of us will find AKQJ support for partner's 3 level preempt anytime soon. Partner had ♥AK♣A
Trinidad
Partner had ♥AK♣AI think your alternative description is more accurate than the original "wide ranging". Rik

Partner had ♥AK♣AIf partner holds those cards then 4♠ is still the best contract. With this partner I expect you will lose a diamond and a trump. ;) Rik
