kenberg
Let me be the first to climb out on a limb. I bid 4♦. a. I imagine we can make 4♦.b. I am far from sure we can beat 3♠.c. While perhaps we can make 5♦ I wouldn't bet on it. My guess is that there are ten tricks in diamonds and nine tricks in spades. If there are only eight tricks in spades we have to double to get a good board, and I am more confident we have ten than I am that we can hold spades to eight. CSGibson
5♦. All the aces now rate to be onside, and partner is much more likely to have spade shortage.
wyman
At MP, I'll bid 4D and smash 4S if they bid it.
ggwhiz
IF (big if) I'm going to 5♦ I'll bid 4♣ on the way to try to blow off that opening lead, more likely at imps. Pard will need a stiff spade and a club pitch on hearts may come in handy if it's in time. My partners never have hands that good at mp's though so 4♦ is enough for me and if 4♣ gets doubled it's certainly enough at imps too. P_Marlowe
3NT. I have a battle plan for 8 tricks, and sometimes a 9th trick falls from thesky, lets see, how the auction develops, if they double 3NT, I will bid 4D. If they bid 4S, I will try to go for blood. With kind regardsMarlowe
