the_clown
[hv=pc=n&s=saj943hakqdjtcjt7&w=s765h5dak8754ca52&d=s&v=e&b=3&a=1s2ddp3dp3hp4hppp]266|200[/hv] In a decent MP game partner leads the ♦2 (3/5) to your ace and then follows with the 3 when you play the King (declarer following the 9 and Q). What do you play at trick 3.
rhm
♠ (not a success if declarer has 6 hearts and partner the ♣K) Rainer Herrmann
gnasher
I assume I played K-A in diamonds. I don't want to give suit-preference for spades. Rainer's spade switch caters for a hand like Kx Jxxxx Qx Kxxx. A club switch caters for Kx Jxxxxx Qx Qxx. Partner also knows that we have a choice of defences, so his ♦3 should show ♣K, but I'd have to be very confident in my partner before I relied on that. bigbenvic
Same for me Gnasher, I'd hope for the higher ♦ if he wanted a ♠ switch so low ♣ it is - Just in case N has Kx and I can make him guess.
