What's this worth?

So- my partner is balanced with a club stopper and 5 hearts. I have 5 clubs myself and RHO bids 2 but nobody is able to bid any number of spades despite the fact that Ihave a chicane?

Yes, your every day problem...

I bid 4 exclusion with diamonds trump...

Your LHO is marked with a weak hand with ~6 spades then? ;)

I'd have partner 4513 with a 5-0 club break, this does not fit well, 3N is enough.

Would Partner bid 2s with that?

Is 3d forcing here?

What would 3c be?

I don't like 3nt here, too many times partner won't have the AD and they lead a spade, we have only 1 stopper and the hand unravels on me.

if 3d is forcing I'm bidding that, if not I'm bidding 4d.

I want to be in 5d and in g if partner has 2 of the 3 controls I need.

If I played 4s exclusion, I would probably bid it!

Depends on system, but playing something like strong no trump Acol (not sure if Standard is similar), 2N is a weak no trump, 2 is a reverse.

But yes some system notes would be useful as to what 1/2/2N showed in terms of suit length and values.

If partner has a stiff diamond won't we lose about four tricks?

The hand is nearer to just bidding 3 (nf, but partner can go on) but that seems a trifle wet.

Maybe we should discuss first, what 2 NT shows...

As the OP bids 2 with the given hand, it must be gf, not just constructive but nf. In this case, is 2 NT not usually 15-17?

2 I suspect is neither, it's usually F1 where I come from.

But yes 2N is dependent on your NT range and whether you open 5M332s 1N or not

Not sure if I want to be in 6 or not. It requires trumps 2-2 or the person with 3 diamonds to follow to 4 hearts or N to have stiff J.

If 2N is GF, I see no reason to bid more than 3 initially. The danger of exclusion is that partner is missing A and has Ax. Now a stiff club lead cuts you off from dummy's hearts, so knowing he has one non spade ace may not help.
