cherdano
Anybody have methods for NS to bid confidently to the right contract? Yes, I play RKCB :D I would bid 3♠ - 4♣ - RKCB->7♠.
Fluffy
4♦-5♠ would land in 7 in a inspired day on a not so inspired day 4♦-4♠ ends the auction I don't have ageements about 4♦-4♥ so would not make that bid.
benlessard
bidding just 4S as PoC after a leaping michael is a joke IMO.
Fluffy
oops I though 4♦ showed specifically spades for a strange reason. But anyway, what I tried to say is this: I play very wide ranged leaping michaels, and this is awful for slam exploration
SteveMoe
There seem many paths.North could start with Double, 3♠, 4♦(Leaping Michaels). (Would rule out 4♠ as too unilateral).Unfortunately the first 2 are subject to further preemption by East and hearing 5♣ next seems likely. While I agree that Leaping Michaels can be an impediment to slam bidding, I don't think North's hand suffers that problem. I think the following is a reasonable auction:3♣-4♦-5♣-5♥P-6♣-P-6♠P-7♠
