straube
We play 1C-1S as a double negative now, but are considering 1C-1H as a double negative in 3rd/4th seat. Here's our 1C-1S continuations... 1N-bal or some 5m431, 16-202C-asks for a major.....2D-4+ hearts..........2H-2 hearts, 21-22..........2S-4 spades, 3 hearts, 21-22..........2N-3 hearts, 21-22..........3m-4 spades, 6m..........3H-4 hearts.....2H-4+ spades..........2S-2 spades..........2N-3 spades, 21-22..........3m-4 hearts, 6m..........3S-4 spades.....2S-no major..........P-5S/4H2D-transfer2H-transfer2S-good diamonds or both minors2N-GF, 23+3C-clubs3D-diamonds3M-forcing4m-forcing So now we can use the same machinery for 1C-1H (which keeps it simple) and use 1C-1H, 1S-requests 1N unless pd wants to show a 6-cd suit.....1N-..........2C-natural, nf..........2D-natural, nf..........2H-4S/5H..........2S-5S/4H or we could actually use 1C-1H, 1S as a bid to relay partner's hand (seems seldom wanted) or any other ideas? Pd is definitely interested in keeping it simple, so if there are simple and better continuations... Rob, I think we had talked about 1C-1H as DN at some point. Do you remember how we continued?
