In case you're wondering, the ♣A was onside so I made 7.
pigpenz
nothing is ever obvious to GIBthats why is so futile to worry about it
georgi
Being North at which point you would bid spades? After 5♥ which is bid slam after contract was settled by inquirer or over 5♣? GIB gives cuebids from lower to higher, so first Ace it has is in diamonds, 4♥ is just close-up with no extras. So due lack of ♣A, it bids 5♦. To bid 5♠ means it bids slam again and skips diamond which you although bid them, might be still interested in. How you would bid with the hand like: ♠Kxx ( you skipped 4♠, which it means ♠A for GIB, but you still could have K,KQ, etc. Especially if that going to be hand at the dummy.)♥AKQxx♦JT98♣A similar up to 5♣ then over 5♠ call you might be on slam with two quick diamond losers. Probably easy slam to be bidded by the majority(none-gibs), but there could be several points of view i guess.
