This is an old problem whereby GIB prioritizes showing his 3-card limit raise over showing his own spade suit.

I understand the logic of what GIB is doing preparing to show a limit raise with 3 card support

but I dont now if its totally practical, if the six card suit was a minor none of us would complain about that

I am strong believer in bidding a spade over 1 heart with 4 or more spades even with 3 hearts. I play constructive raises so 1H, 2H describes a specific hand. A rebid of 2H after a 1 spade bid probably is weaker. A rebid of 2H after a 1 nt bid is absolutely weaker. I like playing a 4-4 fit with a secondary 5-3 fit.
