RunemPard
The only reason I can think of is that it's evaluation of the hands likes 2D better because this gives 1 card extra to it's suits...rather retarded with 20 HCP though. (evaluating for NT rather than diamonds)
Stephen Tu
More likely ill defined constraints on 3s/4nt/5d/6d bid options over 3h preventing it from bidding one of those rather than evaluation issue, IMO.

georgi
Improved in next version, so being more able to find 3N with such loaded with stopper hands. Particular reason here was 5th spade which was not good enough to introduce as own suit(in despite of AKQ). And as no fit for game in diamonds, so somehow GIB landed over pass unfortunately. I hope it doesn't find 3nt! I definitely want to be in diamond contract here if no spade fit found, maybe even if spade fit found. What if partner KQ of diamond, taking zero diamond tricks? 3nt down 2 possible. GIB needs to be able to consider getting to 5d/6d even with stiff/void, as 3nt often in trouble with no diamond trick from partner. When partner show 7 cd suit, having 1 card is a fit! It should not be prevented to raise to 5d even if stiff/void if enough fast trick outside. 3nt can be bid on misfit if have own suit to run. Here spades will sometimes be good enough, but if partner stiff/void, SJ doesn't fall, partner not have DA, 5d/6d much better contract. IMO it can bid 3s and if no fit revert to 5d/6d depending on it's simulation, actually it should simulate if finding spade fit even worth it, diamond may be better. If swap spade/club it should still be able to bid 5d/6d in preference to 3nt.Personally I would shoot 6d opposite vul 3d bid, hope partner not have 2 trump loser, this hand have 6.5 trick, vul preempt supposed to be close to 6 trick in diamonds. It would suck to be in 3nt down when 6d makes when partner open with KQJxxxx diamonds and out.
