gszes
Pass p saw our 4c bid and they decided to bid 4h. I see no reason to assume pis completely misguided in their thinking and I have precious little more thanp might imagine for a 4c bid. Fluffy
I shold had asked, what do you expect partner to have on this bidding?
Codo
I would play partner for a strong 4522 or 4612 or maybe 4621. Can he have less then AQxx,AQxxxx,x,Kx? I doubt it, so slam may be on. But how to go there? I have no idea. I guess I try 5 ♥ too.

chasetb
I don't follow very many rules, but an easy one is the Rule of 7. Partner expects us to have 7 average HCP when (s)he bids over a preempt. We do have 8 HCP and 3 controls, but only 2-card support, no ruffing value, and no spots in our suit. They could have cuebid 4♦ with a really good hand, and the preempt makes it more likely Hearts can be stacked against us, so I pass.
gnasher
Opposite AKxx AQJxxx x Kx slam is mediocre and on a bad day we'd go down at the five-level. If partner has a similar hand with three clubs, we'll miss a reasonable club slam, but he might have thought of that himself. Hence I pass. Fluffy
Partner had not what I expected: ♠AQx♥AQ10xx♦x♣KQxx He said he was going to raise 5♣ to 6♣, well not today since I bid 6♣ before him :P, But I had correctly read a tank from RHO over 4♥ as lenght in a red suit. I didn't like pass with the best 2 cards of the deck in my hand, but I cerainly had the pass on my hand for a while. My impression is that with 46 in majors I would rather bid 2♥. 3♥ or even 4♥ than double, I though this bidding strongly suggested only 5 hearts, or maybe a weak 6 like Q9xxxx. I am looking at other topics you started that complains about huge losses....i think you guys deserve to land on right spot now and then. Funny thing is, if one of you bid correctly it would be a huge disaster. 2 mistakes sometimes lead to the correct final spot. :P Both 4♥ and 6♣ and the interpretation of those bids by both you and your pd sounds awfully wrong to me. Sorry m8 :(
Fluffy
I realice this is a mistake fom me I should try to solve, the hands I post migh come from serious partnerships or totally non serious ones. The serious ones tend to go on another forum. But it doesn't matter much, the real thing here is trying to visualice partner's hand wich coud be a GOSH or a flexible strong double with 5 hearts.
