jag33437a
I know how to boot a player when he is NOT host, but is it possible to boot a host, and if not, can that be added?
billw55
I know how to boot a player when he is NOT host, but is it possible to boot a host, and if not, can that be added? It is not possible and I doubt it ever will be. Boot power belongs to the host. If you want it, host a table. Honestly it would be pretty silly if someone could join a table I started and then boot me. I assume you must be thinking of situations where the host goes inactive, leaving the others with nothing to do. If the remaining three players want to continue playing together, one of them can make a new table and reserve the seats.
StevenG
I suspect (I might be wrong) that this post follows a situation I saw last night where the host had been a kibber - long AWOL - who had inherited the table when it completely emptied. I cannot see the problem with allowing the host to be booted if the host is not actually at the table - whether the time invested in writing the code would be worthwhile is another matter. I'm not entirely sure why kibbers inherit empty tables, it only seems to cause trouble.
barmar
I think it happens when all the players leave, so only kibs are left.
shintaro
Yes but what I think Steven is refering to is when a Table as happened is now hosted by someone NOT present and now players keep sitting and trying to play etc and eventually get fed up and move on; only for someone else to then jump in and haver the same problem Surely Booting rights could be given to an official of the Club concerned to clear this table
barmar
"official of the club" = Yellows. Call a yellow and ask them to boot the missing host. The system will eventually boot the host of the table automatically.
