inquiry
This thread is to allow people to ask questions about making a BBO Movie using the BridgeBase on line movie authoring software. Please limit the number of questions per post to one (or two closely related questions). I will start with two related questions, and provide the answer in this first post. 1. What are BBO Movies? Answer. BBO Movies are interactive bridge movies, most with one or more deal, that you can watch on line. There are moves by Fred Gitleman, Larry Cohen, Mike Lawerence, and others, including forum regulars. 2. Where can I find free BBO Movies? All BBO Movies are "free", altough in the future there may be a mixture of free and pay-to-view content. You can find all the BBO Movies at the following link. There is a link on that webpage where you can create your own movies that will require you log in with your BBO nickname and user password. xx1943
Hi Benmany thanks for starting this thread. The Moviemaker is a phantastic tool to write bridgestories. There are so many nice features, which I believe you cannot find yourself by trial and error. Therefore I welcome and appreciate this professional help. So my first question: Is it possible to show others a "work in progress" before you submit it to the public? or: When saving your work you get a window with a "sourcecode" How can I put this code import back to the Moviemaker? EXAMPLE: <ld> <meta/> <frame> <effect type="v2" param="Lesson%20102.7%20%01Albrecht%20Hollstein%20---%20Al%20---%20xx1943%20in%20BBO%01Our%20topic%20today%20is%20%22How%20to%20plan%20a%20suit-contract%22.-------------------edit: sourcecode deleted--------------------- param="%0100n%0113n%0100n%0123n%0100n%0132n%0100n%0143n%0100n%0100n%0100n%03210%03"/> </frame></ld> Edited December 9, 2012 by xx1943
barmar
No, it's not possible to show your WIP to others. If a movie hasn't been approved for public viewing, the software only allows it to be viewed by the author and BBO staff.
xx1943
Hi all there are several reasons why one would like to edit a submitted movie e.g to correct errors or mistakes or misspellingsorto add another hand(s) to it.So my question (identical with the title) Is it possible to edit a submitted movie? and if yes: How can I do that? Thanks for answering Al
inquiry
Hi all there are several reasons why one would like to edit a submitted movie e.g to correct errors or mistakes or misspellingsorto add another hand(s) to it.So my question (identical with the title) Is it possible to edit a submitted movie? and if yes: How can I do that? Thanks for answering Al After they are submitted and before they are accepted you have a recall link on the bridge editor page. Press that and it comes back to you. After it is accepted, the recall link disappears. However, even after a movie has been accepted, it can be subsequently"rejected" and returned to the original author's unsubmitted list of movies. The same people that can accept a movie have the power to return an accepted movie to the original author. Anyone who wants to recall one of their movies, let me know, and I will see to it that it gets "rejected" so you can edited and resubmit it. I will eventually move this "question" to the FAQ on bridge movies, which is were it belongs.
