Bbradley62
Pass at IMPs. Partner tried to sign off in game even after I jump-shifted. I have no way to determine whether we're off the ♦A. At MP, I might bid 6♥, but probably not.
paulg
Partner has denied an ace so the only question is whether to play in six hearts. I suspect that this is the right thing to do at matchpoints.
jillybean
Partner held J632 V AKQ82 JT43, south raised 6♣ to 7 and didn't drop the K.
P_Marlowe
Partner held J632 V AKQ82 JT43, south raised 6♣ to 7 and didn't drop the K.A bit heavy for 3NT, assuming 3C was gf, showing 19+, with 31+HCP and a fit,why settle for 3NT, which may fail, when 6C makes. With kind regardsMarlowe
gszes
P failure to bid 4d over 4c will keep me out of 7.My hearts are so good that at MP I will convert to6H expecting a top board at least 62% (andprobably 83%+) of the time. At IMPS that same 62% isnt a sufficient reward to makeup for the large loss of IMPS when we fail to make.We know there is a very strong chance p has at least 1 heart (which increases our chances at 6h to 83%)but +2/3 imps for being in 6h is a ton less excitingthan -14 imps is damaging to the partnership stayput in 6c.
