SteveMoe
Suspecting South is 33=2=5, one trump lead might stop a minor suit ruff. Have to admit a ♥Honor is like comfort food. Martens cautions "Don't be a calf.."
lycier
I am willing to lead a trump.
PhilKing
If one were to lead a heart honour, it would not be the queen.
Codo
I doubt that a ruff in dummy will be the winning trick for their game and that I can prevent them from getting it.. I guess we better take our tricks now, so I try a minor- here a low diamond. Partners hand is poor, but I hit him with Qx in diamonds and the jackpot is mine... :)
MrAce
Call me crazy but knowing myself i would lead small ♦ in a split second. I have decided to avoid trump leads from doubleton unless the bidding really calls for it, and i don't think this auction clearly calls for it. Leading ♦ A is one thing i would never do this hand. I definetely will not lead dummys long suit, and i dont wanna open the club suit myself, call me chicken too if you want.
rhm
Call me crazy but knowing myself i would lead small ♦ in a split second. I definetely will not lead dummys long suit, and i dont wanna open the club suit myself, call me chicken too if you want. From the bidding a minor suit lead looks mandatory to me. I am biased against underleading aces against suit contracts. but here the conditions just look right: Strong (semi-balanced) dummy, who has probably stoppers in both minors opposite a moderate hand. After some thought - not a split second decision for me - I decided to ignore my principles and lead a small diamond: The deal turned out to be [hv=pc=n&s=sk5hak97652dk5ca4&w=sj76hdqt62cqt9853&n=saq9843h83dj98c62&e=st2hqjt4da743ckj7&d=e&v=e&b=6&a=p1c(17+%20Blue%20Club)p1h(6+)p2hp2sp2np3sp4s]399|300[/hv] Partner won with the ♦Q and returned the ♦10. I won with the ♦A and switched to the ♥4, ruffed. Back came a club, after which the contract can not be made any more. No other lead is likely to defeat this contract. the_clown
I would lead either low ♦ or trump I wouldnt consider anything else. With xx in trumps I would surely lead trump but with 10x I honestly dont know.
