Alibar10 Posted September 27, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 He did have a good hand: 3 spades, 4 hearts 4 diamonds 2 clubs, 22 pts. Had he doubled I would have bid 3 hearts and I'm sure he would have said four, but, I didn't... I did think maybe he had both majors, but, failed to act on it. Bbradley62 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 Regardless of whether partner is showing simply a very strong hand, or is showing a concentration of the majors, the one thing that is 100% clear is that his bid is forcing. Please tell me what my partner's bid meant? something to live by-- AVBAF all vague bids are forcing:)))) your p 4c bid may be vague but it is not natural so do the best you can within your bridge knowledge and bid accordingly. Noone expects you to know everything as an intermediateplayer but we all hate to get passed in what seems like an obvious cue bid of some sort.
