petermooney
BBO seems to have got inreliable recently. This started before the latest update but is worse now. I play in the BIL and our competition on sunday was cancelled after very poor connections and slow speed. I have just been playing with people having to disconnect and then reconnect etc. This is getting avery wearing. I have only been a member since July but it is definately a lot worse now.On the good side more and more people are joining the BIL (Beginners/Intermediate Lounge).Peter
scoob
personally i have to run into little or no disruptions of this nature that were not attributed to extraneous forces (users with notably poor ISP connections, dial-up users, and abnormally high volumes due to high profile vugraph events)
nikos59
For instance, yesterday Nov 24, around 23.00 Paris timethere was perhaps half an hour with grave problems. Not complaining, just mentioning. nikos
Chamaco
BBO seems to have got inreliable recently. This started before the latest update but is worse now. This fact occurs periodically on BBo, and it is probably unavoidable. The fact is that every so often there is an abrupt increase in the number of players connected to BBO at the same time. These increases usually are related to big Vugraph shows which at first attract many players to watch the Vugraph, and then they like the site and they stay to play.As a consequence, after ach big Vugraph event, there is a HUGE increase (sometimes over 50%) of people logged in. This causes problems to the basic software machinery and to the server management: you can imagine how a tool designed to work efficiently with, say, 3000 people logged in, may have problems with 6000 people logged in. As I said, this occurs periodically, but everytime, the BBO development team tries to fix this in the following weeks, buit in the process, sometimes the server undergoes some instabilty problems. I guess that patience from us, the BBO users, is probably the best cure
