Quantumcat
I think system is not on after 1NT balancing, and 2♥ was a cuebid showing at least an invitational hand. 3♣ was probably supposed to say where his values were (when they were all spread out he had trouble figuring out which was his best suit). He can't possibly have "twice rebiddable clubs" as that shows a good six card suit usually (correct me if I'm wrong) - this is the wording used if the auction goes for instance (1♥)(2♥) 2♠. 2♠ will be alerted "twice rebiddable spades, 12+ total points" or something similar. Yu18772
About Gibs explanations see http://doc.bridgebase.com/lobbynews/gib_descriptions.xhtml - twice rebiddable is indeed 6 card suit. He chose to show his weakest suit, and if he doesnt have a strong suit there are 2NT and 3NT in the box....http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

Barmar posted the following explanation of the "rebiddable", etc. desciptions:The categories are:0-2 cards3-card4-card = 4 with poor honorsbiddable = 5 cards, or 4 with 4+ HCP or QJTxrebiddable = biddable + another cardtwice rebiddable = rebiddable + another cardstrong rebiddable = twice rebiddable with 8+ HCPsolid 6-card = AKQTxx or bettersolid 7-card = AKQxxxx or bettersolid 8-card = AKJxxxxx or AKxxxxxxx (there are 7 x's)So yes, "twice rebiddable" is a not-horrible 6-card suit or a horrible 7-card suit. ahydra
How does a GIB have a misunderstanding with another GIB? ahydra
cloa513
How is the DD analysis supporting the play- North has to have the vast majority of the HCP and South less than 6. What North psyched his opening and South psyched his pass. I bet more garbage input- admitted its still very difficult to play but finessing South is low odds.
