the hog
Not my hand but rather sent to me by a friend.Imps all Green, first in hand. voidAxxxxKT765432void If it makes any difference, you play Wilkosz. Your bid?
mike777
I will try 5d second option 1d.

rogerclee
I'm uncomfortable opening any number of preemptive diamonds, I would just open 2D Wilkosz and bid diamonds next round.
Phil
I would open 4♦ but over 4♠ I would continue with 4N.
lalldonn
I like 5♦. If I decided my goal was to describe my hand instead of preempting, I would definitely start with pass.
Fluffy
describing is impossible, but investigating is perhaps possible, partner could volunteer hearts, or maybe show seconday diamond support in an unlikelly scenario where opponents don't jump, in real life this is going to go high fast and better introduce diamonds before partner bids too many of a black suit. 5♦ sounds right to me
Yu18772
I like 4♦, and I think that completely shutting out opponents here is not necessarily a good thing in the first seat. 4♦ is going to put them under just enough pressure to bid...http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu
benlessard
Usually I like to preempt everytime I can and I dont care too much about outside ace, 4 card major on the side or a void. But here its an outside ace+ 2 voids + a 5 card M. Its just too much for me. I dont usually play fits jumps by passed hands so passing and bidding diamonds will suggest 6/7D+4M. Lurpoa
4d YES, 4♦
mfa1010
5♦ is my guess.
akhare
4♦ sounds about right. The 2♦ bid gives them too much space and doesn't convey the huge difference in the suit lengths.
nigel_k
I would definitely pre-empt and I like 4♦, intending to bid 4NT over their 4♠. Of course things may not work out that way, but I'll try it because it will be too hard for partner if I just start with 5♦ and they bid something.
