I overlooked that. Responder could have been 5 6 2 void .....so maybe Opener would have to forgo RKC and just cue bid 5C over 4S ( and 4S should be slammish otherwise Responder would have signed off in 4H to play in at least the 6-2 fit ) :

Answering the OP question, I evaluate your bidding as very poor. How? looking at both hands slam is excellent and you missed it.

 

 

Seriously, north's 4♣ is stupid. Whatever he wanted it to show he doesn't have it.

 

I would have a much easier time starting with 1♣-1♠ and bidding like a 5-5. However after 1♣-1♥-2NT-3♠ where partner has shown a shapely hand with 6+♥(5?), 4+♠ north must bid 4♥ over it since it will be the best game avaible most o the time.

2NT - 3H ( ostensibly a 5-5 because a 5s/4h hand would go thru check-back )

3S - 4NT ( no issue about 2nd Rnd Ctrl in any side suits )

5C ( 0/3 ) - 5D ( ♠Q-ask )

6C ( yes + ♣K ) - 6S
