1eyedjack
I don't know if it is just my machine (or if this is the right subforum for that matter). My browser is IE9 running under Windows Vista home premium SP2, 32 bit. Whenever anyone posts to this forum with an embedded external link, and I click on the external link, it opens (as expected) in a new tab.But the original tab on which I clicked the link ALSO changes to the new URL, so that I end up with two instances of the external link in the browser, but no longer have the original page from which I clicked it. Does that make sense? This is not new; but have only just now got around to mentioning it.
barmar
Invision fixed this in a patch that came out last year, I'm looking into why we don't have the patch installed.
barmar
This should be fixed now. You may need to clear your internet temp files if it doesn't seem to be working.
1eyedjack
Hmm, it didn't fix it for me, even after clearing all the temp files. No point wasting any time on it if I am the only one affected. I can live with it.

1eyedjack
 Perhaps you need to get rid of Vista :D As far as I am concerned, life is too short to go changing the OS that came with the machine. That said, I have my eye on a Surface machine later this year, if 'er indoors doesn't go bouncing off the walls. Not sure whether to go with the 128 bit version, mind. As I recall, when the 64 bit PCs came out you had to wait a year and a half before any software came out that was written for it.
