after RHO's 1 opening-bid;

1--Double--2--Pass

pass--3

Here,do you think 3-overbid is an expert bidding?

and 3 is a novice bidding?

Please give your advice.

1--2--2--Pass

pass--3

This process is reasonable?

I am not so happy with double followed by 3. Not so much because I don't believe in 3nt if partner bids it. Mostly because if partner bids 4 I will have to bid 5. Which might not be such a bad contract but partner will never take me for such a discrepancy between the minors so he might well keep bidding diamonds.

So if you start with double you really have to bid clubs next.

Your second approach would be my preference.

you are not taking into consideration that x followed by 3c

shows a very strong hand. Not at all dissimilar from the hand

you are holding. If p cannot move over your 3c follow up your

sides chances of missing game are remote. If your dia K were

the Dia A then a belated 3s would be ok because all you need

is a spade stop for 3n. The dia K means not only do you need a

spade stop from p but dia help as well that is a lot to wish for. Bid

3c and trust that with a reasonable 6 count p will be able to find 3n.

Quality control.

This is funny because I read QC as Queen's Council (that's a posh barrister for non-English readers) here even though I use QC as Quality Control (almost) every day in my work. I think I prefer Expert Forum Sheriff though, as suggested in the other thread; hopefully Han takes on the title instead of Under Bidder B-) .

I would bid 2C, I am not so worried that this will be passed out.

This. Helene's concern about partner bidding diamonds is relevant, but we disagree about the first action; if we double and then later bid clubs as a non-jump, CHO will think our doubt about strain includes a few diamonds.
