masse24
(1♦) - 2♠ - (P) - 2NT What is 2NT?
nigel_k
It's the same as what you play over a weak 2♠ opening. The fact they have opened doesn't change much. You can use 3♦ as specifically a spade invite so that declarer's hand is not revealed any more than necessary, but 2NT as an asking bid is still a lot more useful than natural. If you play multi then you need a specific agreement in this case.
JLOGIC
I think a lot of people switch to shortness ask when it's an overcall or when they are a passed hand (the idea being you are not searching for slam and shortness is usually the most important feature when game trying). I'm sure playing feature or ogust or whatever you usually play is fine. If you usually play ogust but overcall soundly then maybe you should switch to feature or shortness ask, I feel like ogust is good only if you're undisciplined/wide range.
