BBO mobile app 3.1 released

Recommended Posts

I've been playing a lot with the "play anonymously" feature, and had two hands repeat twice. Is this a deliberate feature, am I extraordinarily lucky, or did you for some reason choose not to have the server calculate the randomness for the dealing algorithm?

Did you log out and then log back in between the identical hands? My guess would be that the server treated you as two distinct anonymous players, the second of whom hadn't seen the hand yet as far as the server knew. If that's the problem, hopefully it won't be too hard for BBO to fix.

I did - it was two separate sessions, but far apart. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how dealing hands works on BBO.

In order to have the comparisons with other players, BBO gets 16 (I think) different anonymous players to play each hand. Sounds like you were grabbed twice for the same board, presumably because BBO didn't realize you were actually the same anonymous person.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am using my Android phone a lot currently to watch the mindsport tourney in Lille, using the cell network. Though at my current location there is no umts connection available, it is possible listen to the audio comment, and everything else works well, too.

What I am missing is the display of the result at the other table, if the current table is slower. In the web version, it is displayed as soon as available and visible without any action required. In the app, 2 taps and maybe some scrolling is required in order to see it, and the main table display is not visible while looking. I suggest to insert another entry into the menu where one can already review the bidding.

Hi, welcome to the Forums :)

The BBO app does not support tourneys at the moment, but we will continue to add more functionality in the upcoming versions. We'll anounce in the Forums and on BBO News when the next update is released.

Thank you. What about clubs?

Thank you. What about clubs?

There is no way to browse through clubs right now, but if you have a friend playing or kibbing in a club, you can tap his profile, then tap the playing cards icon to join his table.

More features will be added in the next updates.
