antonylee
You hold K543 opposite dummy's J862 and your (imps) goal is to score one entry to dummy. In addition, you are only allowed to lose the lead once to lefty, whereas you are allowed to lose it twice to righty. Best line?
bluecalm
Playing a K and then small seems like the only line. I am sure I am missing something, otherwise it wouldn't be thread worthy.
ColdCrayon
If not the above line, I'd start small to dummy's deuce, then lead the king to the six once I got back in.
Fluffy
I don't see the alternative to starting with the king, there has to be some case where doing something else is better, but I cannot see it.
Statto
Interesting conundrum. I think it's best to start with the King. If lefty wins with the Ace, play small and cover whatever lefty plays if possible. If righty wins with the Ace, or it doesn't appear, duck a round next. I think this works in all cases where we have a chance.
SteveMoe
Pavlicek's website shows success is about 53.65% for K first and 43.52% for x-x first. The key is in the avoidance constraints.
