ArtK78
2♠ is enough for me.
cherdano
I would also have bid 2♠.
wyman
2♠ here too -- we overcall pretty aggressively.
stevenagy
3D. But then I like to overbid hands like this too much.

billw55
2♠ for me. As declarer, I am always disappointed to see three small trumps in a dummy that gave me a limit raise.
Cthulhu D
3D (just) ahydra Surely if you're willing to raise to the 3 level 3H is a better bid? IMHO it's close and I'd just make a competitive three card raise

lalldonn
3♥ is misdescriptive, 2♥ is possible but kind of silly IMO, partner will pass even with 5-1 in the majors and very often with 5-2. Looks too good for 2♠ so 3♦ it is. The answers here are a bit shocking to me.
JLOGIC
If you're going to bid 3D you might as well start with double
lalldonn
I FORGOT DOUBLE yes that's a good idea. The prior answers are still weird to me.
Phil
I FORGOT DOUBLE yes that's a good idea. The prior answers are still weird to me. Was running out of breath waiting for MY answer. OK, you double. LHO reraises to 3♦. You done or are you going to compete to 3♠?
JLOGIC
To me if you are going to double, you are committing yourself to bidding 3 spades. You're treating your hand as an invitational 3 card raise (ie driving to 3S) and trying to keep hearts into play. Doubling and passing just means you never showed 3 spades or invitational values. Partner might have 6 spades and pass 3 diamonds for instance since he doesn't know about your third spade. That said, I am always leery of arguments like that, with new information it is always rational to be able to change your plan I don't really see why this would cause us to do so though, so I still think the options are bidding 2S immediately or doubling and bidding 3S. The entire hand was something like: [hv=pc=n&s=s952hkq742d54caj3&w=sqt8haj9daq97ct95&n=sakj43ht3dj62cq62&e=s76h865dkt83ck874&d=w&v=b&b=4&a=1d1s2dd3dpp3sppp]399|300[/hv] 3♦ is such a moronic call. Would have loved to rip it.

Phil
No lol. The table was some OC friends of mine (partner is GNT teammate). I just filled in for a few hands.
jillybean
For me, double implies no fit. Showing some sort of direct support seems right here.
jmcw
My 2 cents. Don't understand 2♠ 3♦ = 10X = 82♥ = 42♠ =

You done or are you going to compete to 3♠?Obviously since I originally bid 3♦ because I forgot about doubling, I will bid 3♠ now. I don't understand the moral of the hand, or maybe there wasn't supposed to be one.
