whereagles
3C. If pard has some extras and hearts, he'll bid them.
mcphee
I see my options as;pass forcingDble penalty 3 level C or H invitational4H to play Partner has H, I have H so what is wrong with 3 or 4H. I would consider 3H as an invite and I feel it is my position to be more aggressive in this postion so would bid 4H. I may not make it, but I do not think it will have no play either. luke warm
i bid 3♥, since we're vulnerable and i have to decide whether or not i can blast to game... with my hand, against a bidding op, i'll invite... i think pard will play me for something like this
flytoox
would be ideal if i could get pd to bid 4H. Here I would bid 4H hoping club finesse is good enough.

pclayton
Anything less than 4♥ is "pussillanimous". BW readers will know what I'm talking about. Seriously; this hand is golden; no wastage in spades, tenace in hearts, Q♦, which protects partner's king, in case we get a diamond lead through (I'm playing it) and a nice trick source. Fluffy
Let partner double 2♠ before bidding too many ♥. It seems partner has 4♥, but I am not completelly sure this isn´t just a power double.

Dean
3S showing 4H & GF values. Denying a spade stopper. This is a Lebenshohl style auction. As if the bidding had gone 1N : (2♠) : ? Dean
Free
My partner's hand: [hv=s=sjxxhaqjxdkjtxxcx]133|100|[/hv] I blasted to 4♥ which was just made :) At the other table they didn't find 4♥ for some reason (they played 2♠*-1), and my partner thought my 4♥ bid was from another planet  LHO had 0 HCP. It seems partner has 4♥, but I am not completelly sure this isn´t just a power double. Double 2S?? No way I'm letting that happen. They're on their safety level and trumps break 3-2. I just noticed pard had doubled 2H (didn't see it 1st time), so 3H seems normal. Can hardly be a power double, and even if it is, pard will bid 3NT or 3S after your 3H and all is well

Another planet? In support of hearts, after a 1♦ opening bid, you nave easy time bidding game. What does zen master zar say? The Diamond queen is worth not only its full 2 points now, but being an honor in partner's suit, worth a bonus one too. As are the heart K and T. So you have 11 hcp, 3 Control points, 1 bonus for diamond Q, two bonus for heart KT, 12 distributional points, and 1 ruffing vaule. My math is weak, but this comes to 30 ZAR points. Your partner promised 26, that is minimum of 56, four more than needed for game. Of course, if double doesn't show hearts, you might need to rethink this, but it does show hearts imho. EarlPurple
partner's double of 2♥ presumably was showing the suit, so I "raise" to 4♥, though it might play better from the other side of the table to protect against a spade lead.
