creating an imaginary teamtable

Recommended Posts

hi all,

i would like to play a team match by using a set of predealt hands and preset results @ one table, so 4 persons would be able to virtually pd bridgecelebrities in an already played event where the hand records are known. any ideas how to arrange that?

Hi Torsten

no idea how to do with the actual software <_<

but I would be very interested in this format too.

I hope anyone of our experts has an idea. :D

Cheers

Like the Vugraph deals you mean ? I have currently turned them off ( i did so to conserve bandwidth during Istanbul and will enable them again soon)

A user inquired today about using vugraph hands to play against. Is this feature going to stay turned off?

why not create a link to the library or elswhere (nikos`vuegraph archive is huge...)

so that people will be able to chose there own matches. u c, i am still hooked on this thing........

a similar competition in my "reallife" club called "Play With The Stars" became really popular, and even little LOLs used to play only once a week, arranged additional dates to play these hands.

Hi Uday, hi Fred,

It would be very helpful for teaching purposes, if I could upload my own prepared hands for a training with my students group while creating a team-tourney.

At the moment I must create a small Pairs-tourney instead. The flaw of this is the not to control movement.

Many thanks, if you could help here.

Many thanks for all the benefits you are doing to BBO-users

At a normal table, the predefined result from the vugraph is useful to generate a comparison. At a tourney, there is less use for that ; the comparison comes from the other tables.

I can see value in this anyway for educational/entertainment purposes or to create a new type of tourney

If you are fast, and I mean really fast, you can add your own predealt hands to any team tourney.. .Your window of opportunity exist between the time the event is created and when it starts. As soon as the team event shows up at the bottom of the list of games (in the color indiciating it is about to start.. in 2 min or less), the host can

1) Click the Green table button

2) Choose "load predealt hands" from the option

3) find the file and click on it

If you do that fast enough, you can play any hands you like
