Stephen Tu Posted May 29, 2012 Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 With the secure double stop it probably thought 3nt was safer/better scoring than 4h despite the 5-4 fit. Avoids scenarios like stiff spade lead, sa, s ruff, ca spade ruff. Avoiding the club lead, it looks like you got a great MP score. There were a number of hands in the simulations where West has a singleton ♠, so the opponents get ruffs when you play in ♥, while you make lots of tricks in NT.
