Shouldn't it be 3-4 sp, 4H, 3-5 clubs?
AyunuS
It seems to me that it's a way of showing your short suit. If you have 2-♦ and no 5-card suit, you must have at least 2 4-card suits, so it seems to ask for you to bid your short suit in this case so that it can pick between the other suits you have 4+ of. Interesting approach, but it seems to me that it should work no matter what hand you'd have in this situation.
Stephen Tu
- it's a stupid approach and clearly a bug, no one uses cue to say "bid your 2nd shortest suit".- double doesn't deny 5 cd minor for anyone.- it's really bad that GIB require 2- diamond to double. if I have 3433 I should be able to double with a good working 13-14 count and we should still be able to find 4-4 heart fit, and if partner bid spade or club most of the time he will survive.- it still thinks i have 4 hearts, explanation says "biddable H". So it thinks I am 4-4 in the majors some how, but picked spades. It didn't say I have 3 cd hearts; it said 4- and "biddable" therefore exactly 4. Basically, why are you defending it? It clearly bid bizarrely. We want it to play as close to human std expert as possible, not "weird possibly barely playable GIB idiosyncratic auctions", bid your worst suit in response to cue instead of best suit like 99.99999999% of humans play. nathan2008
I find that the worst part of robot is the reaction after a t/o double. Robots always suppose i make a t/o double with 4414, so he bids very aggressively. Other parts are ok for me. After so many -200 or even -800 and -1100, i NEVER make a t/o double if i am vul lol, tired of -200.
georgi
there was a bug with the explanations. Fixed for new update. It will show now -- 3-5 ♣; 2- ♦; 4 ♥; 3-4 ♠; 12+ total points So based on this, North will consider only 4♥ and won't misbid 4♠.
