gwnn
2♠ here should show 4 spades and a longer minor, but maybe I'm too weak for this and probably we haven't discussed this with p yet.
Phil
2♠ here should show 4 spades and a longer minor, but maybe I'm too weak for this and probably we haven't discussed this with p yet. Partner is Mark Leonard. Mark's other partnership is with KFay. He will understand this bid - should you choose to make it.
JLOGIC
2S, I double more aggressively than most here but I will not double with 1 trump and no tricks, partner will pass incorrectly too often imo. Sorry partner if you have the nuts.

I'd bid 2♠ then. Glad we've discussed this now :)
rmnka447
With red pockets at IMPs, I'm passing. Whatever range NT we are playing, partscore seems to be our maximum result. If we are playing weak NTs, it's their hand. Any bid that I make is more likely to get us in trouble than win us IMPs. Worst case would be reopening in a suit that encourages intervener's partner to take a call and they find game. If we are playing strong NTs, partner might just have a ♥ stack. I don't want to be explaining how my reopening bid cost us a sure positive. Certainly, there are hands where a partscore might make, but there are also hands where no fit exists and we go for a number versus a partscore. Phil
I bid 2♠. Partner was so jonesing for a reopening double. He had something like KJ9xx of hearts in his hand and a bunch of defensive cards. After 2♠ pard tanks and I get some coffee. When I return THREE NO TRUMP is sitting in front of him LOL. I think he tilted a little here. After 2♠ do you think 2N is pick your minor (with 3 minor an independent suit) or is 2N natural?

MrAce
LOL We passed 1 NT, which part of this pass he didnt see ? And what made his hand improved ? Is it our 2♠ bid or is it the fact that his 5 card suit is bid by opponents ? <_<
